The E-Gazette Ghana platform marks a transformative milestone in Ghana’s journey toward a fully digital and transparent government service delivery system.
Developed in line with the President’s vision for a 24-Hour Economy and the national digitization agenda, the platform revolutionizes how government gazette notices are created, verified, and published.

The E-Gazette digitizes the formerly manual and paper-based gazette process — enabling citizens, institutions, and government agencies to seamlessly upload required documents, have them automatically verified using and subsequently reviewed under relevant human oversight before publication.

This innovation ensures speed, accuracy, transparency, and accessibility while supporting online payments through local mobile money wallets and integrated payment gateways, making the process truly digital and nationwide in reach.

BACKGROUND:

For decades, the publication of official gazettes in Ghana relied on physical document submissions, manual verification, and print-only publication formats — resulting in long turnaround times, limited access, and administrative inefficiencies.

Recognizing these challenges, the Government of Ghana, through the Ministry of Information, the Attorney-General’s Department, the Registrar-General’s Department, and the Ministry of Communications and Digitalisation, spearheaded the creation of the E-Gazette Ghana platform — a secure, intelligent, and cloud-based system designed to automate the end-to-end gazetting process.

This initiative reflects Ghana’s commitment to open governance, digital transformation, and citizen-centric service delivery, ensuring that official publications are accurate, timely, and accessible 24/7 from anywhere in the world.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

A One-Stop Platform for All Gazette Publications

The E-Gazette Ghana serves as the centralized digital repository for publishing and accessing legally recognized government notices and gazette announcements.

The platform supports a wide range of gazette services, including:

  • Appointment of Marriage Officers
    Publication of officially recognized marriage officers across religious, traditional, and civil institutions.
  • Change of Name (Company, School, Hospital, etc.)
    Legal gazetting of name changes for registered entities, ensuring public awareness and legal authenticity
  • Change or Confirmation of Personal Details
    Processing and publication of personal record updates such as name changes, confirmation of names, and corrections of date of birth.
  • Incorporation or Commencement of Companies
    Online publication of notices for newly registered companies and corporate commencements in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Public Place of Worship and Marriage Licensing
    Issuance and publication of gazettes for newly registered public places of worship and licenses for the celebration of marriages.
